Case Study
Requirement:
Creative Jar was approached in 2006 to completely redesign two of their brand websites; NetBenefit and NetNames which are both part of the global company, Group NBT plc. The websites have been great successes and we continue to work on their enhancement and development to increase further return on investment and retention.
After building a successful client relationship, Group NBT approached Creative Jar to redesign and redevelop another of their brand websites. Ascio manages one million domains across more than 250 TLDs and forms part of a team of 275 people, with offices in Copenhagen, Oslo, Munich, Vienna, Nice and Madrid, plus London and New York.
Creative:
During the redesign of the Ascio website careful consideration was taken to encompass a number of factors. Ascio have already established brand representation, used throughout their printed collateral and marketing strategies; it was imperative that this was preserved and translated to their online presence.
A highly polished Flash animation was designed and developed to add that extra 'wow' factor to the homepage. Complete with language and content management controls, this has since been used on other sites as a promotional tool.
Our creative team pulled out the stops in producing a professional but contemporary website design that truly reflects the high service and market position of the company.
Authoring and CMS development:
The web development requirements were to deliver a well structured XHTML/CSS compliant website, with a completely custom-built back office and content management system built on the latest .NET 3.5 framework. The content management system is a bespoke feature rich system allowing full and flexible control of individual page content, along with a range of robust features including:
- Drag and drop navigation
- XML driven TLD Map
- SEO friendly pages
- Meta detail control
- News and Events Management
- Bespoke Form Editor
- Media and Rich Content File Management
The CMS has been a success, and is being used regularly with the website seeing continuous updates.
Website issues:
The website and CMS engine was built to the satisfaction of both the client, and our Development Teams. It was a proud collaboration of the client's brief and Creative Jar's web experience to produce a truly bespoke, robust system which will continue to impress both creatively and technically to its front end and admin users.
The website continues to be a hit with Ascio's users and internal stakeholders and we continue to work with the client to achieve their next set of ambitious and creative deliverables.
