Creative Jar
Pimms'o'clock

Being based in the home-counties, Creative Jar is in an enviable position to enjoy all the local Regattas. Although we have no rowers on our team, everyone can appreciate sitting by the river with a picnic and a glass of Pimms in their hand - oh and watching the rowers!

Since the last newsletter, when the team were waiting for the iPad delivery, we can now confirm that there are three floating around the office. There is no sign that the excitement is dying either, with brand new apps coming out every day and new creative ideas being inspired by the small device.

Other manufacturers are jumping on the bandwagon and producing their own tablets, including Samsung, Archos and LG, to name a few. It will be interesting to compare when they come out; and to see if anyone chooses them over the big brand that is Apple.

It isn't just the iPad that is causing a stir, the world of the smartphone has also been turned upside down. What with Apple's reception problems, Google discontinuing Nexus and Windows 7 phone being praised and criticised in one breath, the playing field sure is getting interesting!

Give us your opinions on the matter of the day; follow us on Twitter or be-friend us on Facebook, whichever you choose we look forward to hearing from you.

Business News

HiPP

HiPP produces organic baby foods, milks and toddler foods. Their website includes practical parenting advice on such matters as weaning and breastfeeding. Creative Jar has been developing the information architecture for HiPP's new website, and the CJ offices were recently used to user test the wireframes. Pregnant women and women with young children were invited to test the user experience on a working prototype. This was extremely valuable because it enabled HiPP to confirm that the principles of user centred design we've applied to their new website actually work in practice. It's also allowed us to test and refine further concepts based on feedback from real users. The new, improved easy to use site will launch soon. Watch this space!

Clarksons

Clarksons is the world's leading provider of integrated shipping services. Their global reach is reflected throughout their marketing collateral and their website is available in multiple languages. Creative Jar works with the business managing the development of the international collateral, most recently providing assets for its conference in Greece.

Wins

Aloe Group

The Aloe team are experienced serial-entrepreneurs who have founded socially responsible companies in different industry sectors across the world. Creative Jar has won the bid to develop the company's new website.

Wasabi

A London-based sushi restaurant chain, with nearly 20 stores (and growing), Wasabi wants to offer its customers more than just an information site by moving into the world of e-commerce. The company wants to enable its customers to order a delivery or book a takeaway from the comfort of their armchair or office. Creative Jar is working with key stakeholders to make that vision come alive.
